Anna Hallikainen works with painting, photography, and moving image. Anna is interested in presence and intimacy, in what emerges in the closeness of others and, on the other hand, in loneliness. Her works move between the boundaries of connection and distance, while exploring the tension between them. Anna seeks to bring the viewer closer by sharing something personal and raw, by exposing herself. This shared experience creates a bond between the art and the viewer — something moves in between, like a secret shared with a friend.
