Eemeli Sahimaa is an independent artist, designer, and carpenter. He approaches design and craft through themes, immersing himself in one way of making at a time, both expressing and exploring what can be created through it. Central to his practice is reflecting on and embodying the essence of art, design, and craft, while seeking their meaning and purpose—both for the individual and within a broader cultural framework. Eemeli is currently moving towards a research-based critical design practice as a student in the Contextual Design master’s programme at Design Academy Eindhoven
