Eetu
Ronkainen (FI)
Eetu Ronkainen (b. 1999) works primarily with an airbrush. An airbrushed painting and a digital image share the same alienating surface. The border between real and fraud is ambivalent. Something distressing lies beneath the surface. Practice is led by attachment to the medium, humane touch vanishes along the process. Imagery of the paintings is gathered with a camera and mixed together through painting producing an uncanny view to mundane life. Ronkainen is currently completing his master’s studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki, Finland
