Emma Höglund (b. 2002)  is an artist originally from a very small village but is currently based in Turku. 

Höglund is primarily painting with oil but sometimes other mediums complete the works. She describes herself a quite intuitive painter. Usually, she has one spesific colour, feeling or object stuck in her mind, and it will take a form in her painting during the process. Her style is very expressive, giving space for the breathing and overall atmosphere. Her works often ends up dealing with feeling of detachment from the body, surroundings and nature. 

At the moment Höglund is studying fine arts at the Turku Arts Academy. She is also graduated as a Bachelor of Arts from University of Helsinki. Along the painting, she is writing essays and photographing
