Laura Hetemäki (b. 1987, FI) is a painter working with oil painting, watercolors and linen weaving. In her practice, the materiality of painting intertwines with reflections on the mundane.

Alongside fast-paced painting, she engages in the slow process of weaving, creating some of her own canvases by hand. Hetemäki holds an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki.
