Lauri Tiainen is a visual artist living and working in Helsinki. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Helsinki with a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2023, from the Department of Painting. In his work, Tiainen combines watercolour and oil paint on canvas. His paintings move along the boundary between the perceptible and the imagined, emphasizing an organic visual language and the subtle layers of colour. Through painting, he explores the transmission of sensations and emotions, often inspired by the rhytms and silence of nature.
