Milja Havas (b. 1985, Lahti) is a Helsinki based artist who works through sculpture and drawing. Havas is inspired by fairy tales and the allegories of reality that emerge through them. In her works, play becomes reality: drawn and sculpted figures inhabit their own miniature world within our own reality. Through her works, Havas is interested in exploring the absurdity of life and the search for meaning in a world where there seems to be none.

Havas graduated as a wood artisan from Omnia in 2018 and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Helsinki in 2023. Havas is currently completing her Master's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Helsinki in the sculpture department. Havas's works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Helsinki and abroad.
