Minjee Hwang Kim is a visual artist from Seoul, South Korea, living and working in Helsinki, Finland. Her art practice focuses on exploring the absence of self in Far Eastern philosophy through self-portraits in the Western art tradition. Kim graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki in 2019 with a Painting MFA and the Korea National University of Arts in 2015 with a Fine Arts BFA. Kim's works are in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Helsinki Art Museum, and Kirpilä Art Collection, among others.
