Takkinen is interested of growing and withering plants, of different things ageing and then rotting away. His work is influenced by nature and houseplants, but also fiction and sci-fi novels, music ja comicbooks. Visually his paintings are abstract and expressive, he creates landscapes and humanforms through which he depicts different topics such as melancholy, death, hate and love. His work has been presented in various solo and group exhibitions in Finland. Onni Takkinen is a visual artist living and working in Tampere, he graduated from Saimaa University of Fine Arts in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree. Currently his artistic work consists of painting and drawing, he has also worked on performance, sculpture, video and sound art.
