Sanna Härkönen (FI)

Sanna Härkönen is a Finnish painter working with acrylics, watercolour and tempera. Her paintings depict people and plants in everyday urban environments, based on direct observation, photographs, and memory. She is interested in how ordinary moments are seen, remembered, and translated into painting.

Her process often begins on site, drawing and painting in parks and green spaces. These observations form the starting point for works that are later developed in the studio. Colour plays a central role in her work, shaping both the atmosphere and the final interpretation of the image.

Härkönen’s paintings focus on the relationship between people and their surroundings. By returning to familiar environments and recurring motifs, she explores how attention, repetition, and time affect the way we perceive everyday life and nature around us.
