Silja Uuttula (b. 1988 in Savitaipale) is a painter who graduated from the Free Art School in 2022. She currently lives and works in Eastern Finland, in the city of Joensuu.

Uuttula’s primary medium is oil paint, and she is also interested in drawing. Her works are characterized by psychologically charged, concealed atmospheres and by a gaze that reaches beyond the last house at the end of a road.

She draws inspiration from wandering in the dusk, the countryside, films, and literature.

Most recently, Uuttula’s works have been exhibited at Gallery 5, Taidekeskus Ahjo, Galleria Huuto, and Galleria Ranka.
