Suvi Verna Tervaharju (FI)

Suvi Verna (b.1988) is a Finnish visual artist, mural painer, Illustrator, and hat maker. Suvi got her Bachelor's Degree back in 2013. Since then, she has worked as an artist and exhibited her works both in Finland and abroad.

Suvi Verna's murals can be spotted in various cities in Finland, the latest one in Kemiönsaari, Turku Archipelago. In 2023 she painted a mural for the Annikki Poetry Festival (in 2024 she was awarded as the festival's Artist of the Year) honouring the memory of Finnish writer Kirsi Kunnas. The mural is located in Tampere.

Finding symbolic beauty from her surroundings and expressing it gently in her works is a way to tame internal chaos and the horror of everyday life. Her works resemble a melancholic escapism journal full of delicate glamour, flowers and raw emotions.
