Tuuli-Anna
Viitanen (FI)
Tuuli-Anna Viitanen is a Helsinki-based visual artist whose works are founded on the idea of interpreting images as a language. Her collages, paintings and drawings appear as various abstract spaces with layers constructed and deconstructed in turns, seeking the image's own voice. Her work resembles a game or a play that starts to form its own grammar.
Viitanen graduated as MFA from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2010 and she has a Bachelor's degree from the Lahti Institute of Fine Arts. Her works have been exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions. Viitanen has works in collections of State of Finland, Wihuri Foundation, Helsinki University Hospital, Finnish Art Society, Majaoja Foundation, Imago Mundi and numerous private collections.
