Veera Nelimarkka (1991) is an artist who works with sculpture and ceramics combining sculptural elements with usability. She is interested in visualizing and concretisizing abstract ideas, things and emotions which are hard to describe in words. Nelimarkka has gratudated as a Master of Arts in Aalto University, and has had her works shown in numerous exhibitions in Finland and abroad.

"I often find the work process to be more imaginative than my original plans", Nelimarkka says. "So I just follow my intuition. I seldom make sketches for my work, and even when I do, the actual work ends up looking completely different. I let the material lead the way!"
