Crime and Punishment '25

The painting depicts a young man dressed in typical Roadman attire, face masked. I call the guy "@raskolnikov", after the protagonist of Dostojevsky's classic "Crime and Punishment".

I see a lot of similarities in Raskolnikov's and so called "roadmen's" behavior and actions - horrible crimes springing from desperate economical situation and marginalization from society. Turning Raskolnikov's name into an Instagram handle also brings the piece to today.
