Ceramic Interpretation of the godly deity Ai Apaec. Prominently depicted in archaeological vessel findings from Peru dating to the Moche period between 100-700 A.D.

Represented as a man with the powers of the feline, the bird and the snake. On his quest to retrieve the sun and subsequently restore order in the natural world, he was decapitated and fell into the depths of the underworld.

A modern take on a universal tale of the hero. Fully finished in a dark, metallic sheen over a hand built red stoneware body.
