"Joutokasvi / Idle Plant" is a hanging sculpture that is part of the "Joutokasvit / Idle Plants" series, which I have been working on since 2013. The series includes several handmade plant-like sculptures of different sizes, made mainly from threads and found and recycled materials. Installations from the "Idle Plants" series have been shown in Finland and abroad.
This Idle Plant is made of sewing thread, found plastic bottle, used clothing, old shoe, spray paint, found hanger, bronze from previous artwork of mine and found dried flowers.
