Kantaa mukanaan

The reference photo I used for this painting was taken on a summer evening in the parking lot of Sompasauna, where I met my dear friend. She spent one night there in the back of a rented van and had hung an old swan tapestry over her bed. We have known each other for years, and besides the swan, the dragonfly is an attribute that I associate with her and our shared memories.

The painting was exhibited at the Pihatto Gallery in Lappeenranta in the fall of 2024.
