Painting Seastar, the moon and shell started in 2020 while I was working on Harakka Island in Helsinki. It became one of the works that led my practice toward themes of sea life and coastal environments. The work reflects an interest in materiality, color, and intuitive image-making.
The painting is playful and vibrant, with a strong focus on surface and color relationships. Its material presence and expressive approach highlight a sense of joy and curiosity, marking an important moment in the development of my artistic direction.
