Oil on canvas
The Antelope and the Peregrine is a part of a series in oil on raw linen inspired by mythology and our relationship to nature and animals.According to a Siberian myth, all antelopes were initially born with six legs. However, they were so fast that no god or human could catch them. This frustrated one of the divine hunters, so he cut off the animal's two rear legs to make it an easier pray. The peregrine falcon is a bird of prey, but a symbol of rebirth and protection. The painting was exihibited as a part of solo exhibition Let the Grass Grow in the Softest Part of You at Krognoshuset in Lund, Sweden, in 2025.
