This painting was born as part of an experimental process I am exploring in my practice, which involves layering, playing with textures and finding ways to transfer images. Working to question and investigate how care-as labour and material-informs the work and forms identities

The image in this painting is part of my personal photo archive, which includes my mother's work documents from the 90s in Mexico.

To complete the work, I can add a slim oak frame to the painting along with a hanging system so it's ready for you to hang!
