This work is an allegorical representation of mothers as symbols of abundance and protection. The female figures, depicted nude with soft, rounded forms, are placed upon a table in an open-air setting framed by mountains and a bright blue sky. One mother, breastfeeding two children, leans toward another as if sharing a secret, while handing her a small cluster of grapes, a gesture rich with symbolic meaning.
