Screenprint on paper, signed by the artist.
This work is part of ongoing series "masculabilia," or framed jerseys. The manly artefacts, or home decor, man-cave collection. From sports memorabilia to display worthy collector's art. From game-day souvenirs to statement pieces on the wall.
By translating these collector's items into screen prints, the jerseys become entirely two-dimensional—much like the originals once framed behind glass. Somewhere between game-day souvenir and wall decoration, they blur the line between sports memorabilia and collectible art.
These works continue my practice in shifting meaning through representation. Each screen print depicts a real jersey but has no original version in the real world. The works imitate the language of sports memorabilia while remaining entirely fictional. They explore how display creates value, how authenticity can be staged, and how everyday objects become cultural icons once they are removed from use and placed behind glass.
The print is hand pulled 2 color (blue & black) screenprint on Munken 300g off-white paper.
