The work is part of the New York series, which is based on observations and documentation from my residency period at the Finnish Institute in New York in 2016. In the series, I examine the everyday life of urban space and its change, and especially how buildings carry the stories of communities. This work depicts sites in the northern part of Manhattan, in the Washington Heights area. Laundromats, parishes and churches are quite typical of the New York street scene.
The work is hung with two screws.
Technique: 3D-painting, wall sculpture.
