Vandalised

A universal rudimentary visual which has in it playfulness, the childish, and a sense of uncontrivedness, or being artless. A hand that has not learned art history, has not learned to design or draw. Not only its subject, but also how it's created is that of a child. I'm jealous of these expressions. How these creators come off as completely rid of any training, skills, or the many many years of art practice and design that I've had. Where I have a hard time creating this myself anymore. I can never be a naive artist, because I've been to art school. Making this work the way I did; a very meticulously created piece of mdf wood to look like a brick wall. Complete with grout and the recognisable color of brick. A piece that otherwise is unwanted on the streets now to be a piece of art hanging on the wall of your home.
