Life is shaped by quiet routines and repetition; the same clothes, the same meals, the same routes to work and the grocery store. They may feel dull or simple, yet they are ways of steadying ourselves when life moves in ways we cannot manage. The work considers how routine becomes a means of staying upright, when holding on to small sameness helps one continue forward.
The artwork is part of a broader multi year series in which the bird represents the human being. The collection explores humanity and empathy through the diversity of emotions and everyday human encounters.
