I am a visual artist based in Helsinki, Finland. I hold an MFA in Fine Arts (Painting) from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki (2024). Prior to my fine arts studies, I studied fashion design at Aalto University and worked professionally as an illustrator and print designer. My artistic practice initially focused on drawing and textile-based work, before I shifted my focus to oil painting.

In recent years, I have concentrated on oil painting, both as a medium and material research. I have done most of the oil paints that I paint with and continue to study pigments. Alongside painting, I also create ceramic sculptures, which have long been an integral part of my practice.

My background in design has shaped my ability to think spatially and manage complex visual compositions. I work fluently with various materials, and my interest in popular culture, especially fashion, often emerges in my work, anchoring the themes in the contemporary culture while connecting them with references from art history. I strive for layered expression, where the personal and the universal, different timeframes, and material dimensions intersect. While my work may deal with intimate subjects, I aim to create pieces that invite personal interpretation and resonance in others.

My paintings often explore my relationship with the world, frequently through the lens of womanhood. In recent works, I’ve explored the concept of pilgrimage. In 2025, I have focused on studio work and participated in a group exhibition. I am currently developing a new body of paintings and small sculptures, which I hope to present as a cohesive exhibition in the near future.

My works are included in private collections, and I have exhibited in several group and solo shows both in Finland and internationally. My drawings have been featured in several books published by Taschen, including 100 Illustrators 2013. In 2012, I was awarded the Gold Award in the Young Creatives category by Grafia, the Association of Visual Communication Designers in Finland.
